After getting 1-2 matches and finding out they’re joke matches or ghosting me, i’ve had some thoughts about things.

1. Maybe it’s my photos? Maybe i’ve just got bad photos like if i had my cat in one it would help or some more casual thing but then i realise ITS THE SAME FACE! Doing any of these wouldn’t change a thing.

2. Is this normal? To get basically no likes. I don’t think it’s normal to get as little as i do but i see the average guy gets 10 likes a month and they say to not even try on tinder while the average girl gets somewhere around 100-200 a likes a month.

3. Am i going to die alone? My mother has infinitely more options than me and she is almost 60. Maybe i’ll just become a monk or something.

4. Has it always been this bad? for men i mean to get *something*, even one date or one message back.

I too had considered Tinder and have been pressured by friends at work and by parents to use it but I feel pretty defeated already. If I (as an 18 year old turning 19 soon) with no experience in dating, sex, fashion and socialization were to try an app I'd have almost no success at all but then my circle tells me I won't know until I try.

I used AI to make myself a MTN and even that I haven't gotten one date
