I hate how social proof and being popular lets you get away with anything. I used to go salsa dancing, I would try the same dance moves as other guys, tell the same jokes, try to remember girls names etc etc. But because those guys were popular or had social proof anything they said/did/thought was funny and witty, while anything I said/did/thought was creepy. "Ahhh he remember my name, what a sweetheart!", "How'd you remember my name, that's SOO creepy!"

FUCK THAT! It's the ultimate double standard, other guys can get away with it but I can't even though everything was the same, that's why my username is TheWorldIsALie, the world IS a lie. I call bullshit, any other stories out there about social proof and popularity letting other guys get away with anything and everything?

Chads at my work get away with talking too much and operating unsafe.

But homo guy at my work who is more of a beta than me gets the book thrown at him for talking too much and gets crap from the supervisor for nothing.

I'd say the greatest inequality of our day is looks and social proof, I've seen it first hand how it changes people's perceptions of you. I hate it when people say 'just try to be funny' 'learn some jokes and be witty' 'A joke is all in the delivery' 'Try hard and people will see you for who you are!' FUCK... THAT... SHIT... some people and some Chads can get away with some CRAZY shit meanwhile I'm in the dumps, makes my blood boil!
