The reason that Firefox took a shit over the weekend is because they were trying to purge an app that Gab admins had created. I don't remember the name of it, I never used it, but basically any page you visited had a comment section via the app which only other app users could see. Tbh I feel like I missed out. Sounds awesome.

Firefox and Google Chrome are blocking Gab's Dissenter extension. Dissenter lets you post/read comments on any URL, so even if say CNN doesn't allow comments on an article, you can open Dissenter from your browser and have a comment section for that article anyway.

I have it. Very few pages/articles have comments on them. Like maybe the day's top story on CNN.com would have a dozen comments or so. They have automatic moderation but you can guess what most of the comments are like.
