Nobuo Uematsu really changed the style of the battle theme in FFVI. It almost sounds like punk rock compared to the previous games. My favourite battle theme is probably from FFIX. I believe it's the only 3D final fantasy game where he used the old school intro in. The: dudududududu-dudu.
