After controlling for age, BMI, fasting blood glucose, triglycerides, alcohol consumption and estradiol levels, our data showed that smokers were still more likely to be in the highest quartile of TT (adjusted OR = 1.69, 95% CI: 1.34-2.13, P <0.001) and FT levels (adjusted OR = 1.27, 95% CI: 1.00-1.61, P = 0.050).

In multivariable regression models, smokers had significantly higher TT levels in nearly all subgroups (P <0.05) as compared with nonsmokers, with the exception of the subgroup with 11.01-20 pack-years (Table 3). Only the least smoking subgroup (0.01-5 pack years) had a significantly higher level of FT than for nonsmokers

In this large-scale epidemiological study involving Chinese men, we found for the first time that smokers exhibit significantly higher levels of TT and FT when compared with age-matched nonsmokers. Our data support reports from several previous studies in other populations. Indeed, Corona et al (2005) analyzed 1,150 men in an outpatient clinic for sexual dysfunction and reported higher levels of TT in smokers, after adjusting for age and BMI.

We also wondered whether any dose-response relationship existed between the extent of tobacco exposure and the levels of SHBG, TT and FT. Interestingly, our data showed that TT and FT levels gradually decreased with increasing tobacco exposure. This is the first large-scale study to show that the quantity of tobacco exposure in smoking is negatively associated with TT and FT levels among smokers, although smokers had higher levels of TT and FT than nonsmokers.

In conclusion, our study reports that smoking is a positive and independent predictor of TT and FT levels. However, TT and FT levels appear negatively correlated with the dose of tobacco exposure among smokers. Smoking can lead to an acute increase in testosterone levels, but this can decrease with chronic exposure to tobacco by long-term smoking.

If you are underage and still developing, START SMOKING RIGHT NOW. Seriously, have you ever heard of an effeminate smoker? They are all maturitymaxxed chads with rough voices and muscular bodies, people who didnt smoke in school were all without exception soyboys. Do yourself a favor and dont repeat our mistake.

The only real benefit of smoking is the social one. Everything you posted above is autism and way too little to impact your life.

Besides cancer ofc

Cope, as I said, youngcels should do it because the increased T levels drop the more you smoke and the effects are only temporary, so get that sweet testosterone in your body as long as you are young.

Nigga do you really think the T will impact you in any way? Go to the gym, it has way more positive benefits besides T level raises

Yes why wouldnt they? muh gym, you need testosterone to build muscles and there is no gym for your bones.

99% of men have enough test for that, when you train even more test gets produced

happily you have muscles around your bones which you can expand
Can expand your chin muscles

That is a terrible idea. Aside from all the obvious detrimental health effects, smoking stunts your growth and development and will cause you many more problems if you smoke as a young man than if you smoke as an adult.

That study you linked specifically says that testosterone levels actually decrease as tobacco consumption increases, but that smokers still have higher testosterone levels than non smokers, meaning it is an effect correlated with smoking but not dependent on smoking.

Thats why I said you should do it in your youth, get that testosterone as you are developing after that its useless anyway. You guys dont READ :feelsseriously:

About to smoke a cigarette right now.

But it specifically said in the study that tobacco use actually decreased testosterone. And I pointed out that its actually worse to smoke as a young man because it stunts your growth and development which is going to damage your SMV far more than the any minor potential increase in testosterone you might get from the unknown cause of testosterone increase among smokers which may or may not affect you.

Just take a shower, I took 7 today

In multivariable regression models, smokers had significantly higher TT levels in nearly all subgroups (P <0.05) as compared with nonsmokers, with the exception of the subgroup with 11.01-20 pack-years

Our results indicate that both TT and FT are significantly and negatively associated with smoking pack-years (r = -0.083, P <0.001; and r = -0.271, P <0.001, respectively). Additionally, serum SHBG level was found to be significantly and positively associated with smoking dose (r = 0.174, P <0.001).

Our data support reports from several previous studies in other populations. Indeed, Corona et al (2005) analyzed 1,150 men in an outpatient clinic for sexual dysfunction and reported higher levels of TT in smokers, after adjusting for age and BMI.32 Similarly, Svartberg et al (2003 and 2007) also reported that smokers exhibited higher TT levels.14,31 However, these reports were not corroborated by the findings of other studies.

We also wondered whether any dose-response relationship existed between the extent of tobacco exposure and the levels of SHBG, TT and FT. Interestingly, our data showed that TT and FT levels gradually decreased with increasing tobacco exposure.

Smoking is positively and significantly associated with TT and FT levels in men in the FAMHES, even after adjusting for age, BMI, fasting blood glucose, triglycerides, alcohol consumption and estradiol level.
It doesnt decrease total testosterone, it just regresses back to standard amount after one stops smoking and is indirectly proportionate to the amount you smoke. I never saw a smoker who was bellow average height or underdeveloped, if you smoke like two packs a month you can increase your test levels with little to no drawbacks and at ~21 you stop smoking again as it has no benefit anymore except roughing your voice. Really, all the smokers I know are above average and manly, only soys dont smoke.

No I don't believe this nonsense at all. I had friends in school who would pass as trannies with little effort and they would toke ciggies behind the corner with me on the lunch break.
