So many Redditor narratives on how social media is causing people to be lonely, half of which unironically sound more like aliens' attempts to understand humans rather than something actual humans would write, just got obliterated with this one single reference. Damn, turns out that instead of social media magically causing friendly and extroverted people to somehow become lonely, people use social media to, well, be social and communicate with friends they might or might not know IRL. saw your thread yesterday but didnt respond. Yep, been saying this for years. I saw prior data where they found that the association between negative life outcomes and social media was completely based on selection bias. They looked at bunch of subhumans that were COPING with social media and this was then spun into social media CAUSING bad life outcomes. But in reality it has zero impact on most people, just like drug use, pornography and many other such things. So whats gonna happen if they attack social media, porn, video games - all these supposedly negative influences? Who will suffer the most?
The people that rely on it to cope of course. It will it mostly low status coping men that need porn, video games and social media to stay sane. Society always always doubles down on shitting on low status men while elevating women, thats always their go-to solution for everything. If they bring back the draft for instance, who takes the L and who wins?
Low status, low stature men will go into body-destroying or dangerous positions in military, either front line service or physical labor shit that breaks your body. Chads and gl men will take higher ranking position away from battlefield and women wont be affected at all. The brunt of the damage will be low status men being used as cannonfodder.
Let's zoom out and extrapolate from this finding a bit. If social media does not alter human nature but enhances it, meaning, socially successful people just get more success and social rejects get rejected more, then what does that mean for other things, like feminism, or "patriarchy" or the alleged historical oppression of women? None of these can be real, because human nature didn't magically change in the 1970s. Feminism is not a new thing, it is the standard modus operandi, the operating system of both men and women. Both genders worship women, open political feminism is just an expression of that, it's the institutionalized version of what has always existed in people, which is an instinctual dislike of men and worship of women.
And I want to stress this again, both genders do this. Men hate other men and themselves. Women love other women + themselves (self-attraction, even sexually) but abhor men. Every solution male-advocates push is always a form of self-hate. "Guys are broken, we should stop feeling pleasure, stop playing games, stop jerking off, stop feeling any pleasure guys" - they never start by assuming men are just fine as they are and dont need to change. They never go, how about women change and stop using makeup and wasting time playing candy crush and instead become better people by self improooving? NEVER, I have NEVER seen this. Both genders are perfectly aligned in their hate of men because both genders assume women are just good people.
I mentioned this elsewhere but you see this all the time - people get sooooo close to realizing women are the problem, sooooo close and then they do a 180 into "women have suicidal empathy, womens natural motherly instinct has gone awry" - they twist it into a weird narrative where women are inherently good fairies, in fact, so good they are that they cant be fundamentally bad, their goodness can only be misdirected by outside (usually male) forces.
I want you to think about how insane this is. They literally see women the way religions describe god. God is perfect in beauty, in goodness. God does not have goodness as a character trait - he IS goodness. Therefore, in christian philosophy, evil can not exist, it does not have independent existence from god, it is not REAL, it has no being. Instead they say evil is merely a PRIVATION, of gods presence, a privation of the good. God has aseity, he does not change, he is still etc.
Now look at how people think of women when they bring up absolutely retardo shit like "suicidal empathy"

"motherly instinct makes women make bad decisions, thats why they love criminals and shit, they want to mother them and fix them"
All of these are based on this idea that women are so good that they are perfect, and really, the evil associated with women is actually just a privation of the proper goodness that women already have. This is why they never advocate for women changing but only for men, because man is the sinner, he is the privation of the female goodness in the flesh, he is born with original sin, she is not. Man can only achieve completness by aligning himself with women, just like in christianity, there is one will for mankind in god, which is to return to god, you can only be a complete man in the perfect service and imitation of christ. Christians even wrote books called the life in christ or the imitation of christ.
Men do the same shit, all these PUA books and redpill books like "the rational man" literally use catholic style natural law inferential arguments from nature to argue for how and why the man has to serve the woman by altering his character to serve her - "crucify the old man" is a quote from apostle paul in the bible - "no more mr nice guy" is the foid worship version. Give yourself up, give up your old pleasures and dedicate yourself fully, with your entire being, to women, then you shall be saved.

I love this quote here, it's very good. The reason it's alien is because they are rejecting their own humanity in favor of worshipping women. They are saying, reject the world, reject the world of passions and come to the holy vagina. I also want to stress that you have to be super concious of gendered language. You wrote "causing people people to be lonely." Be careful. Women can not be lonely or sexless. When you see them use the word people, always remind yourself that this only affects men. Women do not have an issue finding housing, jobs, sex or relationships. All of this only affects men. So when they say people, they are talking about men and how men are corrupted, teleologically, in their designated purpose (aka to worship women) by social media.
Its like in old testament when the prophets lament that the jews have started racemixxing with other ethnic groups and cultures. The purpose of man is to serve women, social media interfers with this divine duty, so it has to be censored or limited legally. Will this affect women? Nope, all these "are we dating the same guy" groups on social media have never ever been attacked or censored. They will only censor male groups. Women are above the law, so again, always replace people, humans, society with men.
