I don't do Smash anymore. Bayonetta was the last straw. Now it's this Smash vs. Persona thing? How does that even work? How is Smash vs. Persona different, in concept, than a Smash game with Persona characters in it? I have little hangups like that. E3 2014 kinda killed what last remaining love I had for video games.

In fact, it's not just Bayonetta. It's what they've been doing with Fire Emblem recently too. I could go on. Nintendo can suck my whole dick with that shit. I enjoy 2D same as any other red-blooded American, but what I don't like is being offered 2D, but then the people offering the 2D try to downplay or brush aside or make excuses for it being 2D. When they try to downplay or brush aside or make excuses for the fact that they, Nintendo, essentially made an ecchi beach OVA for Fire Emblem. Not some fan artist on Pixiv, they Nintendo. Which carries over into the Bayonetta thing. The actual Platinum rep himself said they were surprised at Nintendo allowing this to happen. Because of course he was, they're Nintendo. And Nintendo has addressed fuck all about it, content to pretend like they're still as family friendly as they've ever been.
The reason I hate this so much is because I hate when the makers of porn try to make porn seem like it's not porn. Or brush it aside, or downplay it, or make excuses for it, so it can have mainstream appeal. So it can seem like a normal mainstream thing so normal mainstream audiences will be patron to it. Just let porn be porn. Just let your jiggly boobed volleyball game be a jiggly boobed volleyball game. Don't bitch to the ESRB about how it "wasn't your intention to make softcore porn." It's taken the whole industry at this point, so until we stop trying to make 2D tiddy games something our moms can play too, I'm not here for it.
