It's like... when you're a kid or teen, life just happens around you, usually due to your parents, other family, compulsory education, etc.

For women as adults... oftentimes life still happens around you. Guys hit on you, people often give you jobs or money without you having to do much for it, etc. You get kind of spoiled.

But for men really unless you do something yourself, mostly nothing ever happens EVER.

That's my best understanding of things anyway. I'll make a poll, as usual! :feelsStudy:

I feel like life goes a lot quicker, when you were younger you felt days had much more time and felt longer. The more you age the routine of whatever you do becomes monotonous and numbing that you almost forget the passage of time so it feels still like you're in a constant loop but aging each time.

I feel like a ghost or a dark souls character that are just stuck at the 2nd bonfire for the past 30+ years :feelscry::blackpill:

I wish I understood that reference fully!

My life is already over and I have nothing to look forward to

As soon as you are old enough to start working it is over. Your life becomes your job. No longer is there any joy or fulfillment. We just exist to serve some rich fag who actually gets to enjoy his life.

Adult life has mostly been a "ghost mode".

I regret not committing suicide the day I left school.
Most people can't wait to grow up. They are excited by it , they don't realise that before you're even out of your teens you will be disillusioned for life.

It's odd isn't it because even as a kid you have school. But it doesn't take over your life the way that work can.

Heh, it's like Little Lamplight and Big Town in Fallout 3.

I wonder if that really was intended to be a metaphor for growing up in the real world.

I mean as a kid you thought classes were long and boring, that even 10 minutes would feel like forever so you'd rather stay home or do something else.

It never really began at all but the moment i left school it pretty much stagnantly stopped, i haven't moved an inch

Yea, I still feel like a teenager despite being in my 30’s.

We haven’t had the life experiences you were supposed to have at adulthood, even some of them you were supposed to reach in adolescents are beyond us.

I still have goals and all, but they feel very far away, and on top of that, I sometimes do feel like life has sort of stopped in a way. And whenever I do feel optimistic or good or just plain okay, something tells me that I shouldn't be feeling that way. Shitty feeling tbh

Hm maybe like you're going at a very slow speed so the goals will take a long time to get to?

It's important I think to try to allow yourself to feel good though, but I know it's tricky when things don't feel great.

Yeah the stagnation sucks

Yes it's an endless loop until I die.

I don't feel like my life has become all that different. I feel like my life was always largely stagnant, and I prefer it that way. Maybe my long-term memory is just that bad tho.
