I got it in my shelf but PC version not PS2, Henry is odd, possibly autistic or anti social, uncomfortable with people and especially closeness / touch, neighbors doesn't know him nor his name he doesn't react strongly to anything graphic or horrific, completely emotionally blunted.

Funnily enough I have been in my apartment complex the longest now (3 years) and I don't know the name of anyone in my apartment, I saw my neighbor once before he moved out just last week, I wish my apartment was haunted so I had a break from the monotony of if a strange hole opened up in my bathroom.

jfl SH1 is a heroic regular dad fighting a woman cult leader that abuses her daughter, SH4 revolves around villain that's a broken person who was abandoned by his mother at birth, he thinks an apartment he was born in is his mother. SH3 is mediocre game Konami was forced to make by Japanese coomers then it later became a favorite game of 41percenters. Silent Hill Origins which is 5th installment and first in chronological order is most brutal one character wise, you play as a trucker nice guy who's traumatized because of his childhood in which his mom (main villain) despised him, tried to kill him and was proud of it, then father out of shame and depression hanged himself

Atmosphere wise it's the scariest Silent Hill by far with most depressing story, unnerving environment, it has few brilliant jumpscares that aren't cheap. If you care about those then absolutely, back then SH4 brought many novelties in horror genre and Kojima took most inspiration out of it to make P.T

But reason why it has mixed reviews is because the dev team was rushed by Konami to release game so gameplay is extremely janky, some enemies have retarded stock sound effects that can ruin the moment, the second half of game is basically filler where you do a repeat of all areas you went in and you are constantly escorting a character which I don't mind tbh.

Also PC version (GOG) is shit, I don't recommend it because it's missing half of crucial atmosphere content in apartment which is a main center of game and which you spend time a lot, PS2 or emulation would be best option to play
