Yes, mewing is literally just normal tongue posture that a healthy human being would automatically have, but because of modern life and how much it differs from the environment human nature is predisposed to function in, many people have incorrect tongue posture, such as laying thire tongue on the bottom of their mouth. Mewing is just what it's called to learn proper tongue positioning again, nothing more, nothing less.
