If you had a gf before, that is proof that you once were able to attract foids, which means you could pull it off again if you'd try hard enough.

An scenario where a guy had a girlfriend in his teens pre-tinder era but got dumped and woke in our current dayz, unable to attract a 2018 female is plausible in my opinion

Well why not. If you are not virgin but haven't had sex for years you can still be considered incel IMO. In fact many guys who were married / had some sexual success before the tinder era could fit that criteria.
