I’m burnt out and can’t cope anymore. I really want to quit my job and relax for a bit. I have 86k in savings but I still have a mortgage. I was going to live off some of the savings for 2 months then find a new job. Or should I try to collect tdi for mental illness or try to get layed off ?

we should let a GrAYcel answer this.

I miss the boat for bitcoin. I should have bought when it was 50k. I was about to but I thought the economy was the verge of collapse. But I forgot that “nothing ever happens”

My honest advice is to just keep wageslaving. Try to get your boss to let you work less hours or take a few more days off each week, but don't quit. I say that because it's very hard to get back to work once you've tasted the neet life. I am speaking from experience :feelscry:

Ok makes sense. I am about a decade younger than you. If you said early 20s I would have legit roped when I opened the notification :feelshaha:
lol I was broke as fuck in my early 20s. Had Over 6k in credit card debt at one point. Capital one was trying to sue me. But I paid it off. I eventually was able to save 20k and took a risk at the time before covid happened. I bought a duplex in 2019 for 289k and I sold it in 2024 for 530k. Used most of the money for a single family house in the country side on 11 acres of land and pocketed the rest.

That’s my worry is that I’ll get complacent with neet life and blow all my savings

Blackrock controls $70 Billion in btc. You aren't too late yet, just put a little into it. Like even $1k now could be insane money in a few years.

If I ever quit or get fired I'm taking at least a year off and traveling the country (U.S.) I have almost $200k in savings and no debt. I can retire almost 20 years if I wanted to.

Good on you for buying a house and not renting like some dumbass.
