I only played Pirate Yakuza and really had a lot of fun. It's probably worth it.

Fuck yeah.
I only played the first one (PS2)
Have a friend who tried 0 (the remake/remaster I'm not pretty sure) and he stalled from playing due to long cinematics and texts. If you find yourself in the same situation, try the first one, I have understood it has less boring text (although it IS a game that cares a lot about story telling). 100% recommended, 9/10 in my books.
