Won't lie, seeing that somebody else made a map for their country like this made me feel a bit better about me creating one as well. Boyo even used a pretty similar color scheme.

Very few surprises here, honestly. First, it needs to be pointed out that those aren't any annual numbers, but total numbers which are skewed by the fact that at least some of those marriages are between foreigners who gained German citizenship and people from their home country, so for a good number of those countries the "actual" figures of German-them marriages are even more unequal. Such as in my own thread I linked above, where I found for my country (Slovakia) 14.6 times as many German grooms as brides, while according to this map the ratio is 10:3.

Overall, yet another pile of data that clearly shows that West/East romantic relationships are overwhelmingly only between the men and women from those regions, respectively. By and large, WE women basically never date or marry EE or EA men in any real numbers, and SEA men are so unwanted they might as well legit not exist as far as WE women are concerned.

I'd say it's a bit interesting that Japan and South Korea actually do much better than quite a lot of EE countries. Arabs and other Muslims are of course mate-guarding like crazy. India's basically 1:1 ratio could be expected, they've had very equal gender outmarriage ratios with basically every Western country I've seen yet, such as Italy, the US and the UK. Surprising to see Germans lose women overall to so many other WE countries, the Southern European ones could be expected, what with the whole stereotype of Mediterranean men being seen as attractive in Northern Europe, but them also overall losing women to a good number of other WEs and even Balkaners surprised me.
