"Hey, starving kid in some 3rd world shithole, abundant food and clean water won't make you happy" I say to him as I have abundant food and lots of clean water to drink.

And guess what? Abundant food and clean water to drink won't necessarily make you happy. But it's a necessary ingredient in happiness because you won't be happy while you're starving and constantly sick from tainted water.

Likewise with sex. Maybe lots of sex won't bring you happiness in and of itself. But it's a necessary ingredient in happiness. Science has even proven this. People who have their sexual needs satisfied tend to be happier than those who don't.
