Well, restaurants don't care who pays as long as someone does. They're not going to put the onus on any one particular person. They'd ask both of you to call a friend to bring over your wallet and/or pay the bill before resorting to calling the cops. The last thing any decent manager would do would be to cause a scene; it would ruin the vibe for every other customer.
