Abstaining from sex before marriage made sense in the past, when marriages occurred at a very early age. Nowadays people wait until their studies are over before marrying. It's a bit unrealistic to expect anyone to be able to hold up for so long, and it sort of defeats the point, since the entire idea of having no sex before marriage is to create a strong bond between a couple, and waiting until your prime is over, even assuming anyone can stay a virgin for so long (i'm talking about normies of course, incels do not apply here), it's counterproductive.
