At university I did an image processing subject, I remember the lecturer said one project he was working on was determining if and for how long people passing by looked at an advertisement. I always thought why not do some research about a topic that would benefit humanity, rather than making a huge corporation more money. Same with this I guess, huge money to be made on TikTok by putting attractive people to the front to get more clicks.
