Well, since 2022 but I only recently found out about it. Also, it's just for the Sites and Areas mentioned in at least five articles or added to the official dossier, but still, nice.

There's two of them, one for the main, English-speaking site:

1766887239722

And one with international branches added in:

1766887317076

And it's interesting how the first one shows how heavily North American that site is, and how much space the second one fills up. That is even something that had started to be acknowledged in-universe, with Watsonian explanations for why the Foundation barely operates outside of North America and Europe. Which is honestly a bit weird, sure, there's no canon in the Foundationverse, this is just something that seems to have been acknowledged more and more over time, but it means that just as the scaling there had been getting ridiculous with muh metafictional bullshit in every other article, at the same time the Foundation had generally been getting weaker and weaker in-universe.

In the earliest articles when they just kept horror monsters locked up, the Foundation was an implicitly global entity that had the cooperation of just about every government in the world, while in some of the new ones, with like every other article being about some epic reality warping threat about to end the world any day now, you'll find the Foundation bemoaning muh colonialism and how they must show the rest of the world that they aren't le evil racists or something. Just a weird change I've noticed:feelsjuice:.

With that out of the way, I find it funny how the Portuguese-speaking Foundation has much more balanced geographic spread of the facilities than the Spanish-speaking one. The former has facilities in almost every Lusophone country, while in the latter, countries like Mexico, Argentina and Spain itself somehow manage to not have any on the map:feelshaha:.

A bit too close for comfort, but still no/minimal Foundation presence here. Good:feelzez::hax:.

*Transforms into his true form*

*Activates buffs*

*Activates passive hax*

*Dons armor*

*Prepares his strongest weapons*

Time to have fun:feelsdevil::society::feelsLightsaber:.

I used to be heavily involved with that shit due to the unique writing potential and content. But I realized, that its completely ludricious and idiotic. Sometimes, you just grow out of stuff right.

My headcanon now is that the foundation is mostly active in north America and western Europe, while the Global Occult Coalition controls the rest of the world

Never understood the appeal of that SCP stuff srsly

I'm not into horror but i like the pseudo-scientific aspect to it if that makes sense

Damn, I forgot to include the link:feelshaha:.

Similar here. I was a heavy lurker as a teen in its earliest days (I remember pranking people with 106's original image back even before high school I think), but then I just started growing out of it and tapping out by the time they were in the 2000-2999 or 3000-3999 series. Though, now that they are in the 9000-9999 series and there really is no way to enjoy it other than ignoring anything you don't like and only focusing on the rest, I'm occasionally dipping back in to see some good stuff I find.

Basically. Nebulous organisations that work and deal with the paranormal are rather common in fiction, but this is what finally made it possible for people to write from their POV, plus, the structured style of the articles I can imagine appeals to a lot of people. You already have the framing device and the template and can basically just fill it out, and don't have to think of how to make something work from a first-person perspective of a character you'd need to flesh out and so on.
