"do not attach too precise a meaning to what others say."

Normies have no clue of what they say most of the time so don't take their words too seriously. Similar to how you don't overanalyze whatever a dog is woofing or whatever a cat is meowing :feelsthink:

basically a mixture of social masking and stoic retreat.

I have been diagnosed as 100% NT but I do that overanalyzing shit all the time.

I listen very carefully to what people have to say and correct them or ask questions when something seems of.

They hate that shit for some reason, but I am all about 100% accuracy and information.

normies don't view language as a code, nor they view communication as meaningful. They want to spout some shit without retort. It's a sort of social ritual, exchanging bullshit or meaningless words. Whenever I try to dig into some normie's statement of beliefs, I can find only the void. Pitiful. I think Arthur here was right, don't waste time and energy overanalyzing their shit, it's worthless anyways.

Dialectics is reserved for a few:bigbrain:

it's not even dialectics, but even just basic meaningful speech.

I have no idea how to describe it, but it's almost like language is just seen as something to manipulate and distort so that it ends up not conveying anything of meaning. The rules of languages are constantly broken, that's true, but I am talking about even semantics or morphology. Idk, it's retarded and I am particularly susceptible to it.

Intent and context matter way more than literal meaning

Reminds me of Bhagavad Gita, essentially the "engaging in the world without getting attached to it" or "doing material duty without expectation of material fulfillment" typa shit. Makes sense since Schopanhauer was directly influenced by Hinduism and Buddhism.

Very interesting read, thank you.
