I was thinking about the past as usual and I was remembering flash games. one that stood out out was a game called save the witness
The gameplay wasn’t what really made it a great game but instead it was the story and atmosphere
It’s basically one of those stickman sniper games, original I know. But unlike the rest it had a really cool story.
Basically the game starts off by showing a breaking news story, one about the president being assassinated and how nobody has been caught. It then shows another news story about a massacre at a kids birthday party with only the kid surviving.
You play as a mystery loner who always wears a cowboy hat and carries a guitar case with a sniper rifle in it.
The witness, the guy you’re supposed to protect is the only witness in the presidents assassination and the only way to get justice.
Every level starts off with a briefing form the sheriff telling you your assignment
Basically the gameplay is fast and you have to protect the witness against a bunch of threats on each different levels, some are randomly generated so you don’t know when a hostile might pop up
However during the second to final level the main character zooms into the face of this witness and discovers that he has the same scar as the guy who killed his entire family during his birthday party
Before the final level starts the main character writes his final notes basically apologizing to the sheriff and implying that the witness also killed the president and how he wants revenge for his dead family
During the final level the main character has a clean shot on the witness and when he shoots the witness is able to dodge the bullet implying that he’s in possession of supernatural abilities
Then the game ends.
I just thought it was a cool game with a storyline that could easily be made into a movie. Maybe the main character could be a depressed loner incel and maybe he discovers that it was actually a Jewish plot to kill the president.
Don’t know what else to say honestly
