As a tourist, I'm very much interested in architecture. I'd like to see everything from opulent Kievan halls to crumbling Soviet tower blocks. The prospect of living in a barren grey wasteland seems appealing in a way, but I'd likely get sick of it after a while. Still, a city with a fair set of amenities but weather-worn, grim, and dangerous enough to keep women, dragged down by sadness and substance abuse, inside or covered up sounds too appealing to not at least investigate.
