I thought so too initially but having been a staff member for over a year now I’ve come to discover tons of new users simply don’t read the rules before signing up and are totally amazed when they get warned or banned over something.

So while the system certainly isn’t full proof I’m confident enough personally that we’ll stop many kiddies in their tracks from joining simply because they were too lazy/stupid to read the rules first.

By a 6-2 vote by the moderation team and by popular vote on the forum, we have decided to restrict people under 18 from joining the forum. The registration process has been updated. I believe this is for the best, as if you're under 18, there is time that you can still develop, and you probably shouldn't be shitposting on an incel forum. This is something that I and others wanted to implement for a while but never really had the chance to introduce.
