PS3 emulation is among the hardest to do with its hardware. It's great work it performs as well as it does. But, yes, it's a pain to run some games on it.

pcsx2 is much worse those idiots can't fix most basic bugs in 20+ years old games lmao, xenia is obviously bad but it has just fraction of devs as pcsx2/rpcs3 and yet it still receives solid progress every year
PS2 must be difficult too because there's always tons of updates every day in patches. And it is still buggy sometimes.
It's funny because pc elitest fags will say "muh pc gaming is so much better" then they spend the whole day trying to resolve a niche issue for their emulator and games literally won't fucking work.
I mean, I am using a ps1 emulator on my phone, but imo, if the consoles are still widely available and cheap enough, buy that instead and get the original experience too.

Afaik the first model, the fat one, plays back ps1 and ps2 games natively, because it has the hardware inside as well, but I am not sure about the ps2 part.
As for the slim and super slim models, Ii am not sure.

It does work for me, i never had that many issues with rpcs3 outside of performance and crashing that got fixed for many titles anyway, you just have to wait. So i don't care PC is still the most superior platform to play games.

I'm able to play PS1 games for some reason but can't play PS2 games on my PS3. I don't really understand why, I think I have the slim model too.

Nobody forces you to play games on emulator. You can use old windows and still play old pc games just fine without being forced to fix anything they are the same as old consoles but better.

u can run a 25 year old console game in 1440p or 4k on emulators, bring the graphics to 2010 level, increase framerate. so yes, by definition same thing is better on pc. emulators do not help pc elitist argument.
I don’t get why you hate remakes and remasters ruining the sovl o algo but ok with emulators sharpening the image 10x from 480p when it was meant to be played at that res on a CRT. PS2 games at 4K look uncanny
remasters and remakes add fidelity and lose much more like ambience, sound design
it wasnt "meant to be played 480p" it was just the tech they had. it was meant to run as good as possible with what they had. most games lose nothing whatsoever form being higher resolution or framerate

12gen intel i5, playing god of war 3 no problems. my problem was i couldnt find a rom that is not encrypted or my emulator fucking up my all other gamesbecause i fked with settings. anyway i fixed that shi so its fine and was just venting tbh.

Better than i expected so maybe they've finally optimized also the most demanding games as infamous 1 can run at around 60fps on my 12th gen i7, but it's never fully stable. I wonder how MGS4 would run as i don't have avx-512 on my cpu i bet with that thing it would run 15-20% faster.
way back mgs4 and god of war 3 just kept crashing on and on, either they fixed something or i did my settings better this time.
