It's because the anime is some normie show

Hate how these fucktards have taken over a previously incel interest. Fuck them. Fuck them all to hell

Your morphs have considerably improved btw.

Please stop the torture
I don't even like anime but these posing cunts are infuriating, they gotta use any medium they find to their advantage regardless of whether they like it or not.

I hate it.
I'm not mad that other people are enjoying my hobby, in an ideal world i'd love it.
I'm mad because when they do it it's alright and they can still live the same lavish lifestyle that they do, being loved and adored by everyone.
I'm mad because when I do it, it actively decreases my chances of finding a partner and people consider me a creepy manchild.

Shit like this reminds me that I need to hurry up and rope. Chads and Stacies are even invading my escapism copes.

Pretty sure that's what the other posters in here are complaining about though. They are effectively being loneliness hipsters.

The simple fact is, other people watching the same shit you watch doesn't have any effect on your watching that shit. If it's somehow ruined for you because someone you don't like watch it... Then you care too much about preserving some "image" of anime when you are just a consumer.

Doesn't this just prove that the anime has nothing to do with your chances? Your chances are low not because you watch anime, but because of other factors.

Obviously if you're running around like Naruto and wearing a headband and dropping desu into your everyday speech, or talk about anime exclusively like an autist, then you're going to alienate people. But simply watching anime doesn't affect your chances with a girl. That is a major cope.

No it doesn't. If Chad was a rapist it wouldn't prove that being a rapist doesn't lower you chances, it just proves that good looking people can do anything and be accepted for it.
If I were good looking and loved anime no one would question me for it.

I can sympathize with them though. Like I said in an ideal world I would love for more people to be into my hobby, but it's the fact that my hobby is my escapsim that I want normies 1000 sq ft away from it.
It just doesn't feel fair that the thing I love so much, that the thing I used to escape this shitty reality is co-opted by people who would have made fun of me for having it as a hobby. There's this sort of unjust feeling to it.

Regardless whatever, this thought isn't something worth ruminating on. It just makes me more depressed realizing that i'll never be able to simultaneously live a normie lifestyle while enjoying the stuff I enjoy.

Generic shounen trash teehee I watch hunter x hunter and sword art online I loveeeee anime

these roasties will never touch my loli slice of life

But just like how Chad doesn't have to admit to being a rapist, you don't have to talk about anime unless it's brought up either. Which means you have to already be actively in a conversation with a woman you imaginably want to sleep with, and she hasn't rejected you yet. Tell me, how many times has that happened to you - that you were talking to a woman who seemed interested in you, and then excused herself as soon as you mentioned anime?

I have yet to hear about a normal-looking person who gets rejected because of anime. Plenty of normies get laid but watch anime. It's about looks, money, status, not whether or not you watch cartoons ffs.

my hobby is my escapsim that I want normies 1000 sq ft away from it.
How does a normie watching the same show you do affect your ability to treat it as escapism? Is that normie in your bedroom at the same time, watching the same laptop screen?

This I can understand, but I don't think we can take a holier-than-thou stance in this. We make fun of normies for having their vapid hobbies. We generalize people based on the hobbies they have. I know that I'm guilty of this to some extent, I'm sure you are too. If they didn't give anime a chance because they thought it was losers, but liked it once they finally gave it a try, then isn't that better for us because it normalizes anime, thereby eliminating some of the prejudice you believe is associated with it?

Again, it's not because of anime that you can't live a normie lifestyle.

You don't have to admit to watching anime but they'll eventually find out if it's something you do in your free time, and they'll be repulsed by that fact.

If you're trying to be a normie there's an image that needs to be upheld, the moment people think you're weird they lose interest in you, you've broken their perception of you and now they don't want anything to do with you. You're acting as if there aren't hobbies that are deemed more or less acceptable by the public and that having/not having those hobbies can be a dealbreaker in a relationship.

Normalization only eliminates prejudice for good looking, normal people. It's still a negative for example, for me to play video games despite Chad playing games all the time (The normie games, anyways). It will always be a weird hobby, and i'd rather share and discuss this weird hobby with people like me. When ultra-normies enter the fray they change the dynamics of the culture and the community behind the hobby.

They did it to video games, and I sometimes see them try to do it to anime too.

Again, it's not because of anime that you can't live a normie lifestyle.
I'm not saying it is, i'm saying that it's harder for me to. It's impossible for me to live like those people without cutting off the things I love in my life because those interests are weird and i'm not nearly good looking enough for people to accept me in spit of my weird hobbies.
