And on top of that, you have to pretend you're neurotypical and I don't really want to experience severe psychotic breaks as I did in my late teens after I graduated from school.
Regarding the "well adjusted" part, you eventually "learn" to move on from these past grievances (well, you don't truly move on from not being able to cope with not sticking your penis into a vagina but at least you're not as hateful behaving as you used to before). I still hold some bitterness from time to time but I'm not as focused on this issue as I used to (in the early 2020s). At least I am (slowly but surely) actively trying to improve the other aspects of my own life. Do something if you're able to (unless you're bed ridden), whether it's academia or career related... or you might regret it later in your thirties (which is the most probable outcome if you let yourself go).
