Exactly. I can't find the exact source right now, but I've seen it mentioned that bullying can cause the same amount and type of PTSD as being in a warzone, and we've known for about a decade that bullying seems to have even worse psychological effects than child abuse.

By definition, bullying includes a power imbalance which means that the bullied person can't fight back or escape the abuse. Bullies aren't some random hostile NPCs which spawn with 3 hit points and can be defeated and never heard from again in one or two hits, they are unbeatable bosses who make your life hell long-term.

Again, I love comparing it to child abuse, even though as I've mentioned above, we have evidence that bullying's psychological effects are worse.
