The only franchise that could ever make me despise collectors - is Pokémon.

I love Pokemon, but everything new that comes out is so garbage that I literally just pretend it doesn't exist. I've actually considered trying to download some really challenging ROM hacks and seeing if I can beat them. Pokemon had so much potential but the soycucks unironically ruined it.

It makes sense, because the entire premise of Pokémon is that the boundaries are limitless. Therefore, every game and every iteration of the anime needs new characters and Pokémon. After the pandemic and foids being thrust into management positions of video game companies - it was inevitable that the Pokémon franchise would become slop.

I like old Pokemon, and I would say after the Black and White era, I completely lost track of everything and stopped becoming interested in the franchise. I have a copy of Pokémon Y, but it's unplayed.

All of the Pokémon craze shit since 2020 just seems so astroturfed, and I think it's been astroturfed by COVID investors who put hundreds of thousands of dollars (probably tens or even hundreds of millions collectively) into Pokémon games and cards (and the games shouldn't even be fucking expensive. They made MILLIONS, sometimes tens of millions, of EACH of them). You ask any of these normgroid niggers their favorite Pokémon and it's either Charizard or Pikachu. All they care about is the value of everything, they don't actually care about the franchise.
