I would never personally have cared about physical appearance if people around me didn't make sure to make me understand its importance, starting in primary school and going all the way up to college.

I was actually incredibly naive and optimistic on the subject of looks, thinking that beauty was entirely subjective. God was I wrong. Nobody allowed me to get away with my naive belief.

This so much.
IncelTears is in fact a sad but ordinary case of "blaming the victim". You're ugly, we'll make sure to destroy your self-esteem over it, but don't you dare understand what happened to you and complain about it.

They have turned us, the victims, into the oppressors.

The human species is rotten.

I think we are obsessed with looks because that’s the primary cause of our misery.

If we were a support group for cancer patients we would be obsessed with cancer too.

High IQ, even at an early age we're told "dress your best", smile and not to frown to look more appealing. Normies know that looks matter deep down but they won't admit it's things we CAN'T change(GENETICS) that make us attractive or not.

Exactly, how can I not care about looks when everyone else cares about it? It's like telling someone to stop caring about racism when they live in a pre-civil rights movement era. Funnily enough, lookism and racism go hand in hand. Blue pill nutjobs are no different than those who deny racism exists.

You can't just stop caring about lookism, you can't just pretend that how you look doesn't play a role in how society treats you, they'll mistreat you and exclude you regardless of if you are consciously aware of lookism or not.

You're a better man than I am. I certainly always cared about looks and still do.

I remember as a kid finding it annoying when people would say that "I should see women for more than just their bodies." This was deeply confusing to me from the time I began having a sex drive, since as a straight young boy, girls' and womens' bodies were all I cared about provided their personalities weren't outrageously terrible.

What's grating to me isn't that society values physical appearance so highly, but rather that society won't explicitly admit that it does this.

Exactly. If I could fuck and date JBs looking like an ugly and balding middle-aged man I'd stop complaining forever and just do it. But I can't.

Feeemayles who spend hours narcissistically in front of a mirror covering up their true looks with layers of fakeup should never accuse anyone of being obsessed with looks.
