Realistically, if I were a 5, what could I do to meet women/get a girlfriend?

I'm not a 5 right now, I'm sure of that. If I gymcelled enough to get muscles and lose fat, got rid of my gruesome acne, got contact lenses, did something to compensate for the baldness

You know what, while I was writing this I realized that there are a few things that totally block me from being a 5. The baldness is the first, and the second is my narrow shoulders and tiny wrists. Even if I lost weight and put on muscles, I'd still look weird, like that time when I was anorexic.

Long story short, I was a fat kid, then at ~17 I lost a lot of weight (could see my damn ribcage), then after ~1 and a half years of being anorexic I put all the weight back and more. Since then I've only gotten fatter and balder.

Yeah, betabux probably. I'm in the same boat tbh. I get a lot of 6/10 and 7/10 ratings on r/rateme, r/amiugly, and /soc/, so my actual rating is like 4 or 5, especially considering my height. Tinder gets me nothing. Thing is I gained a bunch of weight over the past month while I was laid up from surgery, and it shows on my face. I haven't even dieted for a week and I already see a difference.

Relevant to OP, however, just because you can see your ribs doesn't mean you're lean. Sub 10% bf is where your face looks its best. With no muscle, it's easy for your bones to stick out at a relatively high bf. Just focus on fat loss for now. It's cutting season anyway. You can focus on gaining muscle when summer's over.

- betabux/moneymaxx (very hard work and a lot of luck involved, but does pay off in the end)
- PUA (does work for 5+ guys, but it also takes a ton of practice, and honing of skills)
- Socialising (frustrating one but you will eventually find an ugly foid who will take you)
- Musicianmaxxing (get a band together or as a solo singer songwriter - involves some looksmaxxing/thugmaxxing)

Being 5/10 is not enough these days...Even if in SEA, even if you are super social and all that. So i would sugges to find some better copes, lookmaxing is for normies. However, I guess it also depends on what redeeming qualities you have, as well as what kind of women you choose to approach.

My advice is to find the least attractive women in your social network who are single, and focus on them. If a woman believes you are above her in either looks, money or status, she might at least consider you useful, if not attractive. It's not the best solution, but it's a start.
