I'm up to page 27 so I'm not that far in, but I am in disbelief at the way this woman treated poor Elliot. She always argued with him and punished him harshly, even leaving him behind at a hotel room while the rest of the family went out for dinner. No wonder he grew to hate women, just thinking about it makes me want to teach hER a lesson.

He is a good writer and it's a very interesting read.
But he decided to go for his little half brother and random people he didn't know, instead of going for his father and stepmother.

Look at this man's face and eyes. He assumes no responsibility for his son's alienation.
He wants sympathy and to keep his cozy "job" in the movies. The cards are on the table, but he doesn't see them.
