btw, i'm not christian, but i find a lot of things related to Christianity interesting.
i also don't like all these liberal, anti religious hypocrites who trash talk Christianity, while not daring to do the same with other religions.

ok so, so we have a character who identifies as a Christian and believes in god and Jesus.
despite this, he doesn't go to church, doesn't wear a cross or Christian tattoos and don't strictly follow the 10 commandments.
this is because our character is a sinner who has committed acts of murder and sin in the past, and he takes full responsibility for this.

thoughfore, while he believes in god, he doesn't worship him, he believes his place in heaven is forever lost and he's destined for hell when he dies.
but before he dies, he fights and kills bad, evil people as a form of atonement before his death and to send others who have sinned to hell.
not in the name of god, but in the name of redemption and atonement for his past sins and so people better than him won't have to suffer at the hands of sinners.

he's pretty much a bad Christian, other Christians should not be like him.

fun fact btw, the inverted cross the method of death for st. peter, one of the 12 apostles of jesus christ.
when st. peter was crucified, he requested he get crucified upside down because he believed he wasn't worthy of dying the same way jesus did.
so the inverted cross itself is a symbol of devotion to christ, which is pretty ironic that satanists appropriated it for themselves.

What kind of "Christian" is this? He doesn't believe in the forgiveness of his sins and that Jesus was already crucified for all the sins of the world, thus taking the blame. He doesn't accept this grace. What is the foundation of Christianity. Instead, he tries to reach heaven through his own works, or at least to take revenge on people he sees as evil. By killing them, he seals their fate, even though many could perhaps have been saved. A true Christian believes that God doesn't want the death of the sinner, but rather his life. (After the death of the physical body). So it is about the sinner converting. Repenting. At least before God himself executes wrathful judgment on this corrupt world.
In his anger, man is unable to pass a just judgment, but overreaches in his quest for revenge.
Essentially, your "Christian" protagonist can be compared to a Muslim who believes that jihad will earn him a place in heaven (or at least send the unbelievers to hell).
