My first suspicions that PUA was bullshit was when Mystery was on Conan O'Brien's show. He was the second guest. The first guess was Shawn of the Dead actor Simon Pegg, who hung around for the rest of the show.

As Mystery was explaining PUA to Conan and the audience while dressed in his usual ridiculous freak-show outfit, Simon Pegg was struggling (and sometimes failing) to restrain laughing at Mystery. The laughter of the audience seemed to be coming at Mystery's expense too somewhat, and he didn't seem to realize that the vibe of the show was against him.
