I’m from Florida so the rain isn’t that uncommon but it also is mostly sunny. And when it’s sunny, it feels as if it’s burning your skin off and you’re sweating as soon as you step outside.

Even in the northernmost corners of your state, the average winter weather is roughly equivalent to a typical day in early or mid-September here in Germany. Or our weather in May.
I don't even want to imagine how scorching the sun is down there; even here, it gets to me in the summer.
As a child, I once went to Mallorca (Island in the Mediterranean), which is almost at the same latitude as New York, and the sun there was so extreme for my taste. And that was at the end of August.
It's actually irritating. When I went western US, it was so much more better because of the snow and how more dark everything was. It was like an actual wonderland. I plan on moving somewhere like Colorado or to Washington when I get settled into life.

Snow is wonderful, but unfortunately I rarely get it where I am.
