What exactly is the purpose of rageposting? I mean i can understand their anger, but feds are probably watching here. And it only makes it easier to basically arrest you.

Although im sure some rageposters are feds themselves, to incentivize incels to do something they will regret later.
I think the smartest thing to do, is not doing rageposts online. Atleast not rageposts that can be interpreted as threatening.

I myself got nearly into trouble irl for rageposting on another forum too much. So i avoid rageposting as much as possible now.

Is rageposting for some incels cathartic?

Depending how cucked your nation is. If it's the UK it's over. Most people are already tormented daily so prison is just a bed and a room for a few months at most.
