Any sober-cels who have quit? Did you find it hard? Do you feel better for it?

I'm not an alcoholic or anything and rarely ever drink during the week, but drinking a few beers at the weekend has always been a cope. I want to lose it and not waste my Sunday with a hangover (always sleep badly as well after a few drinks). It was also a habbit to get out the house and sit in a bar and have a few overpriced drinks before going back home (waste of money). This bar ban (poor normies JFL) is a good incentive to stop drinking altogether.

I'm a 30s-cel and probably haven't gone more than a couple of weeks without alcohol since I was a teen. I want to go on a health kick and change that.

I set a new years resolution to quit, and I've stuck with it.

I feel better overall but still stressed because I'm an incel, I drink a lot of soda now (not the best, I know), so that serves as a good cope for me.

I don't know if I can do it, but i'll try. I've never seriously gave it a go before.

I'm also a stomach-cel (Incel trait). Got gastro problems and advised not to drink alcohol by the doctor.

As much as for health reasons it's also for LDAR reasons tbh. My only socialising is drinking but I hate being around people more with age.

Easier to sit in a coffee shop and be left alone.

Drinking on weekends is what’s keeping me sane. I could go for months without alcohol but when I do I eventually start feeling stressed and agitated, I need something to make me stupider to give my brain a break for a few hours.
