I visited a doctor today and he diagnosed me hypertrophy of nasal turbinates (an excessive growth or enlargement of the bony structures located inside of the nose) and septumdeviation (the nasal septum (the bone and cartilage that divide the nose in the middle) is crooked, making one nasal passage smaller than the other) and he recommends me to get surgery to fix it. I dont have it diagnosed, but its very lkely that i have sleep apnea since i have nearly all the symptoms. Will surgery alone be enough to cure it or is there no way around CPAP mask ?

My sister had surgery for her nose and it alleviated all of her symptoms. She never had to wear a CPAP mask, though her case might have been less severe than yours.

Ill first get surgery before i visit a sleeping laboratory because insurance doesnt cover it fully. I really hope im cured after surgery

Well my mom is a doctor and I have eavesdropped on my fair share of seminars and phone calls regarding these. I do not know about it being due to the nose, but sleep apnea can be solved with some exercises (not mew-ing but something similar for you to get a perspective on it) and with a sort of dental braces. Though again never went through it and I do not know about it happening due to abnormal growths of the bones.

I'd encourage you to go to more doctors see if you can find a less invasive procedure.

Sorry but thats pure Quacksalberei. If it really would be so easy to cure a severe condition like sleep apnea then everyone would know about it and do it.

Also he checked my nose with a special device, so its confirmed that my nose is at least partially responsible for it

It is not a cure, it helps though, supposedly. Do your own research as always.
