I've lost my buddy cat last year, just one day before my birthday.

He was way too young. Due to a false diagnosis and false medication he died prematurely. We had to get him euthanized because the suffering was just brutal.

We burried him at a beautiful and calm place in the woods. I visit it, sometimes.

Hang in there. The first few months after the loss will be brutal.

Yeah it’s hard but it’s nothing compared to losing a parent or close family member. When my dad died it destroyed me so much inside, and I miss him. I saw him dying for days in a hospital room and then the last time we went to visit him, he was dead 5 minutes just before we got there. The realness and heavy feeling of seeing him dead there was more than words can describe.

But I was glad he wasn’t suffering anymore. All the things we used to do together like car stuff and outdoor shit is done, nobody else to do it with. I’m all alone in it now. Nobody to watch tv with and joke around with, or to help you out with shit.

I’ve lost a cat too, and dogs, plus more. Losing a pet isn’t 1/10th the pain of losing a parent

Yeah thanks, I’m glad I mostly was on good terms with him. We had our nasty arguments but made amends later on. And we did a lot of cool stuff. Some people here have shit parents and I don’t blame them for hating them, but many here have decent parents and don’t appreciate that at all.

I can guarantee a good portion of users here would rope if they were an adult KHHV and then lost one of the only people they had irl
