AS long as you confess that that you are a sinner and need salvation and that Jesus is the only savior and that he rose from the dead and is Lord and pray in Jesus name. This prayer is a good way to go and very recommendable.

God, I come before You today on my knees as humbly as I know how to receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
I believe in my heart and I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He took all my sins when He went to the cross and He has been raised from the dead, and is alive forevermore!
I receive Jesus today as my Lord and Savior, for You said, whosoever shall call upon the Name of Lord shall be saved. You also said that whosoever comes to You, You will in no wise cast out. So, I have confidence that You will receive me now.
God, I don’t want anything to keep me from going to heaven, so I thank You that You always direct my paths in this life.
You said in 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I thank You, Lord, for forgiving me of all my sins, known and unknown.
According to 2 Corinthians 5:21 & 17, I have been made the righteousness of God in Christ, and I am now a new creature in Christ Jesus. Old things have passed away and all things have become new!
