Post obscure videogames only you know of

Hi, i always really enjoyed Open Arena it's essentially a modded redesign of Quake 3 for free. I recommend checking it out if you like arena shooters, that is if you like playing against ai.

It's pretty much dead now, but the quake community always thrived off modding and mapping. If you look at Quake Live majority of the maps put in the game were made by the community. I know for a fair few q3 maps you can put the baseq3 files in Open Arena and they'll still run.

Looks really good ngl but i'm tired of WW2 games at this point
Now it's basically doomed to be exclusive to a dead handheld.
Brutal. And it's not the only one, there are tons of good 3DS games who are stuck on the console now

AoE clone developed by a german studio. It was my first RTS game

A western RTS game, kek. Interesting
Can you pin this thread btw? Thanks
Thank you :feelsautistic:

Sonic Unleashed, LEGO Rock Raiders, and Planescape. I Spy Treasure Hunt was awesome as a kid, I remember playing that and Lego Racers. I'll play many old PSP and PS1 games now that I've jail-broken my Vita.
Sonic Unleashed (and even LEGO Racers to an extent) are pretty well known

Pathologic 2

It has a fanbase but its a fairly niche game and most people who play it wont like it
This game inspired me to go to med school, a true gem of a game.

Descarga 34

Definitely not unknown but obscure

It should have inspired you to go into the organ harvesting business

Idolmaster Starlit Season

Roadkill for the PS2 is the equivalent of a Carmageddon game, but with guns.

There are Peds.

Marvelous: Another Treasure Island for SNES. It's based on A Link to the Past's engine but plays more like a puzzle game than anything. I really recommend this game btw, it only released in Japan but there's an English patch.

Not sure if this is really obscure but Wolfenstein 2009, You can't even buy the game anywhere.
I still think it had some pretty unique mechanics, You have a medallion which has 4 crystals,
these crystals had different powers like slowing down time, extra damage, being able to see certain
patterns. You could also combine them, overall the gameplay was pretty enjoyable.
I've just never heard anybody talk about this Wolfenstein game, i personally think it's awesome.

If someone played this, what was your speciality:
Soldier, Engineer, Medic or Covert Ops ?

Amazing that after all that time many people still play it.
So cool the maps were in 2003 : - )

I've heard of it, i even own it on Switch kek. Still have to play it though.
What makes it more special is the game doesn't really tell you what you can do and how to do it, so it's rewarding when you figure something out. And the lack of direction keeps up with the them of the character

Bionicle metru nui disk games.

Yes. I remember seeing it someone play it ages ago. It's one game that comes to mind since there are a lot of older pc games that fade out of public conscious.
I see. Probably one of the most obscure games posted so far.

Alien trilogy

My first map ever, before your parents were born.

Rare futuristic racing game i played back in 2002. It's based on the movie the Fifth Element, and was released only in Europe.
