Poison started out in Final Fight as a generic female enemy and later became a proper Street Fighter character. The whole “Poison is a troon” thing seems to mostly come from Western localization, where Capcom feared backlash over male characters hitting a woman, so they redesigned her as technically male in the West.

Creator Akira Nishitani (Final Fight director) insists she was always a 100% foid in intent. He never "admitted" transness. He waved it off as player headcanon. In Japan, she is basically always treated as a foid in official stuff and most fan circles. In the West, it is more ambiguous, not canonically trans, but some later comments from devs like Ono and Yasuda leaned into the trans angle for international releases, so it kinda stuck in fan discourse.

So yeah, regional split: Japan = foid, West = ambiguous/trans-leaning.

I personally consider her a foid. She is a cool character design tainted by moronic discourse because some japs were paranoid about backlash over hitting women.

What do you think?

The original design is a foid so even if they change canonically whatever they want it doesn't matter. Its like if a characters hair color is retconned from black to brown canonically yet they keep the hair black.

she'll look tranny when people say so :reeeeee:

Troon, all because of the cucks at Crapcom USA didn't want to sell a game in the west where you punch foids

Foid.

Source: I fucking said so. :feelsokman:

So thats the reason why there's debate if she's trans or not. They made her trans so it'll be ok for guys to punch her:feelshaha:

Foid, most tranny characters have something that allures to their troons identity.

Read:

They're fucking hideous :feelskek:
Or they make a conventional attractive foid character who just so happens to be a troon. Even though actual troon "women" are disgusting creatures with a festing wound that they call a pussy.

In this current gaming hellscape? Even the "females" they try to pass off in AAA games all look like men :feelsugh:

Foid. She was the first character that (((localisers))) killed

Japanese man: Made fighting game with foid in it
Western man: Nooo you can't hit foids! not even in video games!
Japanese man: Oh no what do i do now?
Other Japanese man: Just tell them that's a guy
Japanese man: good idea!
Japanese man: It's alright Western man it's actually a guy
Western man: Ah thank goodness, i was worried for a moment.
Japanese man: (What an idiot can't he see her breasts are bigger than his head and her hips wider than his mom? thanks for the cash though)

Women only called a man out side of Japan cause Capcom did not want to waste money editing the game and want to get away with beating a women

That's funny
Btw in Russia we have Felix Argail changing the gender in Re:Zero dub, becoming a foid. Just a localization bias

foid in all incarnations, and the oldfags are just revisionists compromising their integrity for some clout on twitter
there are actual troons and troon-adjacent enemies in other capcom beat 'em ups, like final fight 2 and the punisher

the troons look completely different from the foids in final fight 2

these two faggots from the punisher are especially memorable for their modern troon-tifa aesthetic back in 1993 :feelskek:

Based where you can go around punching antifa troons and fags
it doesn't get any more based than the punisher arcade game, i always try to get a knife so i can cutthroat the troons

One of my favorites is Undercover Cops, where you can beat up a fat SJW troon. The way it cries when you punch it is funny as fuck.
