PhagoPhobia. Fear of choking while eating.

This is my predominant phobia.

As a kid I almost drowned. And later choked on a steak.

It can be debilitating, affecting where you travel to, and where you eat, related to how far a hospital is.

Lol. Obviously disregard my avatar.

Also, this is one of the few rational phobias. Millions choke to death, particularly in asia eating dry rice cakes.

Yes. The phobia can start in that situation.

Most people don't chew their food very well.

Hot dogs are a good example. The combination of soft bun, with hotdog is an extremely common cause of choking death. Particularly in children with narrow esophagus.
