Has anyone had their parents tell them not to date within their race? I was briefly dating a Chinese man, but he ended up breaking my heart with his nonchalant attitude towards me. My mom ended up finding out and told me that this was the reason why I should date someone outside of our race, like a white guy. My dad agreed. She said that Asian men will always treat Asian women horribly, due to how they were raised.
