I feel like reproduction/marriage carries two risks: false rape accusations and divorce. False rape accusations can lead to suicide, death. Suicide is the leading cause of death in prison. You already know divorce can cause men to commit suicide. It's in this sense, that reproduction is heroic for men. Jesus said, "Put your life on the line for your friends." Reproduction is putting your life on the line for children since it can puts men's life at risk.

I think it also goes beyond suicide: Men will work dangerous jobs to be able to provide for their wife and kids. As Warren Farrell says, "[W]hen their Jobs Related Almanac ranked 250 jobs from best to worst based on a combination of salary, stress, work environment, outlook, security, and physical demands, they found that twenty-four of the twenty-five worst jobs were almost-all-male jobs."

I also feel like parenthood is aligned with this Bible verse because of maternal mortality...
