Media Paranoia over CapCut

I had a concept to make an ER edit to this certain song. I downloaded some files from his old vlogs off internet archive. My brother had been using CapCut recently for making edits of some shows, so I thought I would use that has well. However after downloading the application I became concerned how invasive it is. I have to give them my name and they can see what the project is that I'm making. I'm not sure if this is a good idea…

Btw I have another editing software already that is more trustworthy, but it doesn't have all the presents necessary to make my vision of a tuff edit. Does anyone who uses CapCut have an opinion on this?

Are you using the PC version of CapCut? I’ve been using CapCut predecessors and CapCut in general for years now. I remember I compiled all the creepshots I had of this one girl I took over months and it was a little over an hour long and CapCut mobile couldn’t render it fully, lol. Thank god i’m over that phase.

I downloaded it onto my desktop but haven't done anything with it after reading about people's privacy woes… guessing it's not really a big issue?

i used capcut when i make the occasional video for yt/school and honestly its sketchy but i use it cause its free and i dont wanna pay to edit videos i feel like youd be fine because so many people use capcut your a piece of grass in the field

most features yes you have to pay but you can at least make a decent video with the free features, and nothing wrong with being paranoid dude i have crazy anxiety issues so i get it
