fuck you dentist.

WHy do i need to pay 500 euro for fillinh holes in my teeth, they say it's because i dont floss. but who the fuck flosses.

Part of the problem is the further education for these roles is at an extortionate rate, dentists often start working 10s of 1000s in debt (if not over 100k) and need to charge fucktonnes to pay it off. Thing is once they can charge those prices they don't come down, and since every practice is doing it in unison there's no competition to bring prices down

I haven't been to a dentist in 20 years and don't intend to ever go again

i have a pair of pliers, what do i need some jew for

healthcare should be free in an ideal world

I floss daily. jfl

Haven't been to the dentist in 6 years. Feels good.

Also look at this statement at the bottom of the page

If you make an appointment with us for the treatment(s) as indicated on this estimate, you agree to the costs independent of the estimate. A portion of the major costs may be reimbursed by your health insurance; please check with your health insurer.

We have not entered into a contract with any health insurer.

We have not had a contract with any health insurer.

I think I'm going to call them to cancel it all, this is fucking bullshit. They didn't inform me at all about the costs or that it wouldn't be covered by health insurance.

Not even a real doctor, just some construction worker filling holes.

A real doctor would know what causes cavities in the first place and how to reverse that.

Yes, it can be reversed, but ain't nobody interested in that since it does not make you any money.

To the doctor, your mouth is a goldmine. The longer he can stretch out your suffering, the more you will pay.

My post is a bit sarcastic but there is truth to it - modern "healthcare" is outrageously expensive and often unnecessary, despite what they tell us we "should" be doing

I just brush once a day and use a battery-powered dental pick to remove tartar periodically. Seems to work fine

There's a reason why nature gave us 28+ teeth. We aren't meant to retain them all for our whole lives. Almost all animals lose teeth throughout their life.

i don't have any teeth to bother even going to a dentist anymore

but who the fuck flosses.
I was wondering this exact thing? Literally who flosses? It's one of the most annoying things to do and I sincerely doubt it actually affects your teeth that much. I'm like 90% sure that almost every dentist I have visited has attempted to con me in one way or another. NOBODY flosses, I do not have '14 cavities because I didn't floss.'

How do you reverse it?

And OP, how many fillings did you get?

I still need to get the fillings, im not sure how many but I need to go to 3 different appointments , I think it's 10 fillings.

I'm considering calling another clinic to ask if their insurance covers this because i wasnt even informed that the current clinic had 0 contracts with any insurer like stated on the contract. That's fucking bullshit

10 sounds like bullshit. I had some asian run place tell me I needed 13 when I went to them to clean my tartar. I ignored them. 9 years later, the next dentist i get a white amish foid and she told me I needed 2.

It is said that there is specific bacteria causing the cavities and there are certain natural medications which can kill this bacteria.

It is also not normally found in the human mouth, from what I know.

So, first the bacteria needs to be killed off, the the cavities cleaned.

If you have a healthy diet, no vegetarianism or veganism bullshit your saliva will contain all the building blocks to repair your cavities naturally.

Your saliva for example contains calcium.

Which is why brushing teeth too often is stupid anyway.

You are literally brushing away the attempt of your body to repair itself.

Too much brushing is bad anyway.

Also, leave out all that sugary and bad stuff. After eating fruits, you should flush your mouth with water to get rid of the acid from the fruits.

The nore natural your diet is, rich in animal foods, the better

The less acidic food you consume the better.

I have only two small cavities, but those were caused because I have little space between my teeth.

Underdeveloped jaw and skull in general.

I may be able to correct that though.

In seven years the cavities have not gotten bigger, despite me rarely brushing my teeth.

Interesting, my dentist did say that you're supposed to cluster your meals. instead of taking an hour to drink a glass of soda for example, it's best to just drink it in one go and then wait for the PH levels to rise again, because if you take a little over and over again over the span of an hour the PH will have less time to recover. It seemed pretty convincing,, what do you think?

the only acidic drink i drink is carbonated water. i dont rly eat candy. and avoid sugary foods,

I'm a bit skeptical of flouride in the toothpast ehto

Yeah fluoride is pure BS. NEVER buy paste with it.

Also, some carbonated water has it.

Stay away from that shit.

Some say there are two types of it and one is good while the other is bad. Some "experts" that is.

None of these experts has our best interests in mind.
They only think about their wallets, man.

No idea about PH, but I have noticed that my mouth stays a lot cleaner when I only eat animal foods such as meat, fat, milk, cheese, eggs and such.

As soon as I eat anything with carbs or starch it ruins it.
