Living in society, man needs a compensation. Society imposes constraints that go against instincts. These constraints create psychic pain, which must be offset by some kind of cope. I will call these copes "masturbation", in a general sense. Masturbation (in that sense) generates "gasms", of various sorts, which offset the inevitable pain of living in a society (any society)
