Discussion Opinion on college/highschool parties?

I never been to one, only family. But from what I heard college/highschool parties are a scam. You expect to meet someone but they walk away to be with another dude and your self esteem will be shattered from that. Good thing I never went to those fuckfests though

I experienced this two times, even if I would go with some friends they always meet someone and I was there alone in the end, better to be at home.
