Say there is a debate on tv between atheism and religion. The rulers want the wagies cucks as timid atheists. So the rulers are promoting atheism. In the debate they will have someone who is representing atheism who is well spoken, experienced talking in front of audiences, someone people naturally like, and who is smart.
For the religious debaters they will have an actor who just isn't very smart, pursues weak arguments, while never pursuing strong arguments. The moderator of the debate will be heavily on the atheists side, and make faces and sounds supporting the atheists. And the audience they have a fake audience with signals of when to clap or groan or laugh, etc. The audience will be 100% supporting the atheist.
Why do the rulers do this. First it gives the illusion of freedom of speech allowed on the mainstream media. Secondly it 'proves' again to the people the trueness of the beliefs they have been taught since they were children, so reinforcement.
