In my place, I only see modern foids (Millennials - Gen Z) with average height men (5'6-5'8) who have somewhat average face. There aren't many tall guys here in the countryside, you have to go to the city to see a lot of guys over 5'10). But the fact that most of these foids are ugly (probably uglier than me) shows a lot about their hypergamous nature.
The face is definitely more important than height. Even a guy who is like 5'9 here wouldn't be able to get a girlfriend if he was ugly.

Depends on where you live to be honest. I live in SEA so it's still possible for an average looking guy who is way below 5'8
